root-system software package provides metapackage to install all ROOT packages, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install root-system
root-system is installed in your system.
Make ensure the root-system package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep root-system *
You will get with root-system package name, version, architecture and description in a table
